Description
TT Sensor Plus™ 2
is a small, low-cost temperature data logger. It records ambient temperature over three years and can record up to 90,000 temperature events. The TT Sensor Plus 2 tag can be read by most NFC enabled Smartphones, Tablets, or NFC Reader devices. The tag is the central component of a complete solution that includes PC software (TT Scan), an Android™ smartphone app (TTApp) and web-based database (TTNet).
Applications:
> Pharmaceutical and medical
> Food and beverage
> Chemicals and polymers
> Other temperature-sensitive goods
System Description
The TT Sensor Plus 2 is a small, low-cost temperature data logger. It can measure and log the ambient temperature for a period of up to three years from the date a customer receives it. It is fitted with miniature wireless near field communication microchip (NFC) so the stored data can be extracted and transmitted to a reader.
The reader can be a PC equipped with a USB NFC Reader and the application software TTScan installed, or an NFC-enabled smartphone with the application program
TTApp.
The internet-accessible database TTNet completes the system. Due to its small, slim size, the TT Sensor Plus 2 fits easily into most medical or food packaging and can be used to monitor the storage and shipping environments products are exposed to throughout the supply chain.
After activation, the TT Sensor Plus 2 registers the date, time (in UTC) and temperatures at (programmable) intervals from 1 to 255 minutes. It can register more than 90,000 temperature events. Temperature alarm limits can be programmed into the tag.
The environmental temperature events generated are stored in the non-volatile memory. When the tag is read, the user will receive a warning on the reader display if limits are exceeded.
The TT Sensor Plus 2 operates as a stand-alone device and can communicate with any terminal (PC, Apple) equipped with the TTScan software, NFC-enabled mobile phones, or tablets (running under Android) using the TTApp. Users of the TT Sensor Plus 2 system can view the detailed history of temperatures over a selected period of time. When logged-on to the TTNet database, the logged temperatures and other data of a particular tag ID can be viewed.
For security, the database can check whether the smartphone or PC (tablet) running the TTApp is authorized to read information from the devices or to program the devices. The tag also includes RFID functionality MIFARE Ultralights® EV1 which can be used for track and trace and serialization purposes. High-security measures are taken to ensure the data on the TT Sensor Plus 2 cannot be manipulated and the tag cannot be reprogrammed.
